Ingredients
- 10 slices Dempster's® 100% Whole Wheat Bread
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) butter, at room temperature
- 3 cups (750 mL) apple pie filling
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) granola
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Generously butter four 6-oz (175 mL) ramekins; set aside.
- With rolling pin, roll each slice bread into 1/4-inch (1 mm) thickness.
- Cut out four 3-inch (8 cm) rounds to line bottom of each ramekin.
- Cut twelve 4 x 2 1/2-inch (10 x 7 cm) rectangles to line sides of ramekins, overlapping slightly.
- Fill each bread-lined ramekin with apple pie filling and sprinkle with granola.
- Place on parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
