Just like Dad's toolbox, this hot dog is loaded with all the essentials: nacho cheese, crispy potato sticks, and smoky bacon, all tucked inside our soft and sturdy Dempster’s® Original Hot Dog Buns. No actual tools required.
Ingredients
- 1 pack Dempster’s® Original Hot Dog Buns
- 1 pack jumbo hot dogs (approx. 12 hot dogs, about 900 g total)
- 1 jar nacho sauce (about 400 ml)
- 1 medium tomato (120–150 g), diced
- 1/2 cup (120 g) diced pickles
- 1/2 cup (70 g) bacon bits
- 1 cup (120 g) potato sticks
- 1/4 cup (15 g) finely chopped chives
Directions
- Heat nacho sauce in a small pot over medium-low heat for 3–5 minutes, stirring often, until warm and melty. Or, microwave in a heat-safe bowl for 30 seconds, stir, then continue heating in 15–20 second intervals until smooth and pourable (about 1–1.5 minutes total).
- Grill the hot dogs according to the package instructions.
- To assemble, place one hot dog in each bun, spoon over some nacho sauce, and top with tomatoes, pickles, bacon bits, hickory sticks and chives.
