Banana Mascarpone and Amaretto Delight

  • 4 slices of Villaggio Artesano® Original White Bread
  • 1 cup (250ml) Mascarpone
  • 12 tbsp (180ml)Sugar
  • 1/2 Lemon, zest
  • 4 Bananas, cut in half lengthwise
  • 3 tbsp (45ml) Butter
  • 8 tbsp (120ml) Amaretto
  • 4 tbsp (60ml) Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp (3ml) Cinnamon


  1. In a bowl, mix the mascarpone, 4 tablespoons of sugar and the lemon zest. Set aside.
  2. In a hot pan, sauté the bananas in some butter, add the Amaretto and brown sugar.
  3. In a bowl, mix the remaining sugar and the cinnamon, and pour it onto a plate.
  4. Press the bread slices in the sugar mixture.
  5. In a hot pan over medium heat, caramelize the bread slices, for 3 to 4 minutes.
  6. Cut each slice of bread in half to form rectangles.
  7. On each rectangle, place banana slices and top with mascarpone.
