Ingredients
- 4 Dempster's® Original 7" tortillas, each cut into 6 wedges
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) olive oil
- ¼ tsp (1 mL) salt
- 10 oz (300 g) pasteurized prepared cheese product, cubed (such as Velveeta)
- ½ cup (125 mL) 2% milk
- ½ cup (125 mL) chopped cured chorizo sausage
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Toss tortilla wedges with 1 tbsp (15 mL) of the oil and salt; arrange in single layer on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 7 to 8 minutes or until crisp and lightly golden.
- Let cool completely.
- Meanwhile, in microwaveable bowl, melt cheese with milk on High, stirring every minute, for 4 or 5 minutes or until completely melted.
- Stir in chopped sausage.
- Serve dip with baked tortilla chips.
Tips:
Once dip is melted, stir in 2 tbsp (30 mL) chopped pickled jalapeno peppers if desired.
