Cranberry Amaretto Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of Villaggio® Classico Italian Style Thick Slice White Bread
  • 1 cup (250g) Fresh Cranberries
  • 1 cup (250g) Dried Cranberries
  • 2 cups (500ml) Cranberry Juice
  • 4 tbsp (60g) Honey
  • 1 stick (4 tbsp/60g) of Butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp (15g) and 1 tsp (6g) Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp (6g) Nutmeg
  • 2 cups (500ml) Amaretto or Hazelnut Liqueur or Almond Syrup
  • 1 cup (250g) Slivered Almonds, toasted

Directions

  1. Cut or break 1 loaf of bread into large chunks and place into a large mixing bowl
  2. Add in fresh and dried Cranberries, Cranberry Juice, Honey and Butter and gently fold together
  3. Plus the spices chopped amaretto and slivered toasted almonds
  4. Place into oven proof dish and bake for 25 minutes. In an oven 375°F (190°C)
  5. Serve hot with Vanilla Gelato and/or Whipped Cream
