French Toast Roll Ups are the ultimate dippable breakfast treat. Delicious Dempster’s® White Bread is packed with peanut butter and jam and then rolled up into a cinnamon-and-sugar-coated French Toast roll. For added decadence, top with maple sugar.
Ingredients
- 8 Slices Dempster’s® White Bread
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) Smooth peanut butter
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) Raspberry jam
- 4 Eggs
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) Milk
- 1 tsp (5 mL) Cinnamon
- 1/3 cup (80 mL) Sugar
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) Vegetable oil
Directions
- Roll each slice of bread to a 1/4 - 1/8 inch thickness using a rolling pin.
- Spread each with peanut butter then jam.
- Roll each piece of bread from top to bottom as tightly as possible.
- Whisk together eggs and milk in a shallow bowl.
- Heat the oil in a large non-stick skillet over low heat.
- Dip each bread roll into the egg mixture and place in the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown.
- Combine cinnamon and sugar in a shallow bowl. Place each roll in the mixture and toss to coat.
- Serve with maple syrup if desired.

Use your favourite jam.
