Sliced Bread

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of Villaggio Artesano® Sourdough Bread
  • 1/2 cup (125g) Lemon Aioli
  • 2 King Mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 1 Jalapeno Pepper, seeded and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup (250g) Baby Spinach
  • 1 Heirloom Tomato, sliced thin
  • 1 Avocado, peeled, pitted and sliced thin
  • 1 Summer Squash, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 Red Onion, sliced thin
  • 4 1/2 oz (125g) Cucumber Ribbons
  • 4 slices Swiss Cheese
  • 4 slices Provolone
  • 2 slices Cheddar
  • 2 Scallions, finely sliced and placed in cold water
  • 4 1/2 oz (125g) Pea Shoots
  • 1/4 cup (62.5g) Sunflower Seeds

Directions

  1. Spread all 4 Slices of bread with Lemon Aioli
  2. Divide and layer on mushrooms, jalapeno pepper, baby spinach, tomatoes, avocado, summer squash, red onions, cucumber ribbons, swiss, provolone, and cheddar on top of 2 slices of bread
  3. Garnish with scallions and pea shoots
  4. Sprinkle sunflower seeds into the other 2 slices of bread give a gentle push to stick into the lemon aioli and top to complete the sandwich build
