Goat Cheese Toast and Broccoli Roasted in Maple Syrup

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of Villaggio Artesano® Original White Bread
  • 1 Garlic Clove, chopped
  • 6 tbsp (90ml ) Olive Oil
  • 4 tbsp (60ml) Maple Syrup
  • 2 cups (500ml) Broccoli Florets
  • 1/2 roll Paillot Goat Cheese
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) with the oven rack in the middle position.
  2. In a bowl, mix the garlic, olive oil, maple syrup, salt and pepper.
  3. Add the broccoli florets and mix.
  4. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat, place the broccoli on the pan and bake for approximately 25 minutes.
  5. Cut the bread slices in half lengthwise to form rectangles.
  6. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat, place the bread pieces on the pan and top with broccoli and goat cheese slices.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
