Cajun seasoning and tartar sauce add a distinctly creole flavour to these easy to assemble shrimp rolls.
Ingredients
- 1 Package Dempster’s® Original Hot Dog Buns
- 2 lbs (1 kg) peeled and deveined shrimp, thawed and patted dry
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) olive oil
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup (250 mL) shredded lettuce
- 1 cup (250 mL) tartar sauce
Directions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat; grease grates well.
- Toss shrimp with olive oil and Cajun seasoning.
- Grill for 1 to 2 minutes per side or until pink and just cooked through.
- Assemble shrimp in buns with lettuce and tartar sauce.
- If serving fewer people, divide accordingly.
Tips: Substitute chili powder for the Cajun seasoning, if desired.
