Grilled Shrimp Roll

Cajun seasoning and tartar sauce add a distinctly creole flavour to these easy to assemble shrimp rolls.

  • 1 Package Dempster’s® Original Hot Dog Buns
  • 2 lbs (1 kg) peeled and deveined shrimp, thawed and patted dry
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) olive oil
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup (250 mL) shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup (250 mL) tartar sauce


  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat; grease grates well.
  2. Toss shrimp with olive oil and Cajun seasoning.
  3. Grill for 1 to 2 minutes per side or until pink and just cooked through.
  4. Assemble shrimp in buns with lettuce and tartar sauce.
  5. If serving fewer people, divide accordingly.

Tips: Substitute chili powder for the Cajun seasoning, if desired.
