Sliced Bread


  • 8 Slices Dempster’s® White Bread
  • 4 tbsp (60 mL) Peanut butter
  • 4 tbsp (60 mL) Raspberry jam (or your favourite jam)
  • 6 Eggs
  • 2-3 tbsp (30-45 mL) Milk or cream
  • Pinch cinnamon
  • 2-3 tbsp (15-30 mL) Vegetable oil
  • Icing sugar for dusting


French Toast:

  1. Spread peanut butter and jam on each of the four slices of bread. Top with remaining bread slices.
  2. Whisk the eggs, milk and cinnamon together in a shallow baking dish.
  3. Heat oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  4. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating completely and place into the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown.
  5. Serve, dusted with icing sugar.

Serve with fresh berries.
