Sausage and Kale Toast

  • 4 Villaggio® 100% Whole Wheat Bread slices
  • 2 Mild or Spicy Italian Sausages
  • 2 cups (500ml) Kale, finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp (60ml) Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) Honey
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) Parmesan shavings
  • Salt and Pepper to taste


  1. Remove the sausage skin.
  2. In a hot pan, brown the sausage meat and kale in a little oil and cook on medium heat for 10 minutes.
  3. Then add the honey, stir in and adjust the seasoning.
  4. Toast the slices of bread and then cover them with a layer of the prepared mixture and top with the Parmesan shavings.
