Ingredients
- 2 slices Dempster's® White Bread
- 3 slices bacon, cut in half lengthwise
- 2 eggs
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Cut each slice of bread into 3 pieces. Starting at one end, wrap 1/2 slice of bacon around each piece of bread. Place on baking sheet; bake, turning once, for 10 to 15 minutes or until bacon is crisp and bread is toasted.
- Meanwhile, make soft-cooked eggs. Place the eggs in a small saucepan and pour in enough cold water to come at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) above the eggs. Cover and bring to a boil over high heat. Immediately remove the pan from heat; let eggs stand for 4 minutes.
- Carefully remove eggs from the water, place them in egg cups and remove the top of the eggs. Serve bacon soldiers with eggs for dipping.
