Ingredients

  • 6 Villaggio® Toscana Extra Soft Sausage Buns
  • 6 sweet Italian sausages
  • 1 head fennel, core removed and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) olive oil
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) white wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt

Directions

Sandwich:

  1. Toss fennel with red onion, parsley, olive oil, vinegar and salt.
  2. Chill for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
  3. Meanwhile, grill sausages according to package directions.
  4. Assemble sausages in buns with fennel slaw.
  5. If serving fewer people, divide accordingly.
