Tomato Mozzarella Open-faced Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 4 slices Villaggio® Rustico™ Harvest Multigrain
  • Olive oil cooking spray
  • 2 medium (240g) heirloom tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 (120g) fresh mozzarella ball, torn
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) balsamic reduction
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp (2g) fresh basil leaves

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (176°C.)
  2. Spray each bread slice with cooking spray. Toast in the oven for 10 mins. Set aside.
  3. Place tomatoes and torn mozzarella chunks on each piece of toast.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, drizzle with balsamic reduction and garnish with a few basil leaves.
