A decadent treat that is packed with flavour
Ingredients
Crust:
- 4 Slices of Villaggio® Classico Italian Style Thick Slice White Bread
- 1 tbsp (30g) Butter
- 1 tbsp (30ml) Olive Oil
- 2 Cloves of Garlic, minced
White Sauce:
- 1 cup (250mL) Alfredo Sauce
- 4 Slices of Fontina Cheese
- 4 Slices of Havarti Cheese
- 1/2 cup (125g) Parmesan
- 1 - 8 oz (250g) Ball of Fior di Latte - Sliced into Quarters
- 1 tbsp (15g) Fresh Oregano
- 2-3 cups (500-750g) Mixed Mushrooms
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
- Place 4 Slices of White Bread onto a baking sheet
- In a small bowl, combine Butter, Olive Oil and Garlic together and spread each slice with the mixture
- Top each slice with 1/4 cup of Alfredo sauce, then layer a slice of Fontina, Havarti and Fior di Latte over each
- Clean, cut, and divide the mushrooms
- Season and toss with oregano and evenly distribute mushrooms over the bread slices
- Sprinkle over top with the parmesan cheese
- Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and cooked through
Tip: Serve with fresh Arugula and sliced Heirloom tomatoes
