Banana-Stuffed French Toast takes your breakfast menu to the next level. Dempster’s® White Bread is layered with almond butter and bananas before being battered and baked until golden brown and fluffy. This crowd-pleaser is definitely going to elevate your breakfast game. Serves six.

  • 2 slices Dempster's® White Bread
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) almond butter
  • 3 bananas, sliced
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup (175 mL) milk
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) honey
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) ground cinnamon
  • Maple syrup, for serving


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Spread almond butter over 6 slices of bread.
  3. Top with banana slices and cap with remaining bread.
  4. Set aside.
  5. In shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, honey and cinnamon; dip sandwiches in egg mixture.
  6. Place on greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, turning once halfway through cooking time or until golden brown and puffy.
  8. Serve with maple syrup.
